Bear were appointed to provide civil and structural design consultancy services for a new warehouse and car park at Shoda Sauces (Europe) in Blaenau Gwent.
We assisted the client with the SAB pre-application and obtained full application SAB approval shortly after, ensuring the drainage for the proposals was designed and built in accordance with the Welsh Minister’s mandatory standards.
One of the major challenges on this site was that the existing site was to remain operational during the construction of the new warehouse. Therefore, careful consideration regarding phasing and types of construction methods from the outset ensured the operational use of the facility wasn’t impacted whilst the works were being carried out.
